Book Blitz & Giveaway: Wrong by Jana Aston

Title: Wrong
Author: Jana Aston
Publication date: October 7th 2015
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

I have a history of picking the wrong guy. Gay? Player? Momma’s boy? Check, check and check.

Now I can’t stop fantasizing about one of the customers at the coffee shop I work at between classes. It’s just a harmless crush, right? It’s not like I ever see this guy outside of the coffee shop. It’s not like I’m going to see him while attempting to get birth control at the student clinic. While wearing a paper gown. While sitting on an exam table. Because he’s the doctor.  Shoot. Me.

But what if, for once, the man I’ve had the dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies about turned out to be everything but wrong?

Wrong is a full-length, standalone novel by Jana Aston

Luke flexes his jaw and rubs the back of his neck. It occurs to me now how stupid my fantasy crush was. This is the longest amount of time I've spent with him, and the only time without a counter separating us. Still, I can't help being attracted to him. I know it's wrong. Fucked up. Delusional. I'm already wondering if my future career will pay enough to cover the therapy I obviously need.

Marie is back and places something wrapped in heavy-duty plastic on the tray. The object makes a thud as she sets it down before taking up her seat beside the door again, sticking her face into an old copy of Good Housekeeping.

"Lie back on the table, Sophie." Luke's face is unreadable as he walks over to the exam table. He wraps a hand around my wrist and raises it over my head, his eyes passing over my face briefly before he sets my hand on the table.

His fingers move to the gown covering me. Do not be turned on, do not be turned on, do not be turned on, I chant to myself. I snap my gaze away and focus on the ceiling.

There's a motivational poster on the ceiling right above the exam table. I burst out laughing just as I feel Luke's hands on my breast.

"Sorry, are my hands cold?"

"No, your hands are perfect," I blurt out without thinking. I think I detect a slight smirk on his face before I revert my gaze to the poster on the ceiling.

"The poster." I gesture upward with my free hand. It strikes me funny that there's a motivational poster on the ceiling. Like that's gonna take my mind off where I'm at. Or is it meant to motivate me to stay on this table? I giggle again. Luke tilts his head and looks at the ceiling.

Shit, are my nipples hard? That's normal, right? He's not doing anything erotic, but his hands are on my breasts. Yeah, my nipples are hard. His fingers are flat against the sides of my breasts now. He's rotating them around in what feels like a spiral pattern before lightly pinching my nipple. I have to stop myself from moaning a little. His hands feel good. I'm sure they're not supposed to, but they do.

Jana Aston works a really boring day job. Really. Boring. In her spare time she loves to read sexy romance novels, especially if they involve an alpha CEO. Wrong is her first novel.

“When he comes over please don’t say anything stupid or act funny around him. Please. I’m begging you. He’s just a normal guy like you and me,” Anna pleaded, wide eyed.

At the mention of the ‘normal guy,’ Anna couldn’t help but notice the wide, suspicious eyes staring back at her. It was obvious that her comments had had the exact opposite effect than the one she’d been after. Instead of acting natural and normal, now Anna was worried what would fall out of their mouths. And what confused her more was why. After all, they’d all known each other for years, but now and all of a sudden Anna didn’t trust them. Not as far as she could throw them.

But in the same moment the thought crossed her mind, James edged his way around the bar toward them. Daniel was first to see and recognise him. Anna watched on, horrified, as his mouth fell open, his eyes firmly fixed on James’s approaching figure. And slowly but surely, one by one, everyone else’s gaze followed.

Anna hated her home town in that moment. And she knew James would have as well. This was why they never went anywhere or did anything. The whole bar was watching him. Every move he made was scrutinized, and as he passed by tables, Anna was disgusted to notice conversations fell short. People stopped pushing buttons on the poker machines, and even the bar attendants froze mid-pour as the entire club fell silent. But to James’s credit and Anna’s delight, he continued to walk purposefully across the room, his head held high, and took his seat next to Anna, offering her a glass of mineral water and a reassuring smile as she made introductions.

Anna had never felt so many pairs of eyes on them at once. She felt them boring into her soul. So she did something she never would have done if she had been thinking straight. It was Anna’s greatest weaknesses; she was rash and impulsive. And when provoked, she tended to react first and think later. So she kissed James. In the middle of the crowded room, with hundreds of eyes fixated on them, she kissed him. It worked, luckily. Shocked people returned to what they were doing, leaving Anna’s cheeks burning. She could hear their names being whispered amongst patrons, but at least the staring and deafening silence was over. She heard rumours beginning to take shape, about how she—a nobody—had just kissed the superstar swimmer.

Title: Ms. Manwhore
Series: Manwhore, #2.5
Author: Katy Evans
Release date: 5th October, 2015
Cliffhanger: No

Katy Evans returns with a sexy novella, the final installment of the unforgettable love story that began in MANWHORE.
What lies ahead for Chicago's most envied couple, Malcolm Saint and Rachel Livingston?

Sparks flew between them in MANWHORE.

Separated by deception, the intensity and heat of their attraction turned up in MANWHORE +1.

Will Chicago's wealthiest and most notorious player finally settle down, or will one woman never be enough?

Find out in MS. MANWHORE, the ultimate conclusion to their electric, breathtaking story.

I've been taken with Malcolm Saint from the moment he graced the pages of my e-reader in Manwhore. For fellow House of Saint worshippers, Ms. Manwhore is a wonderful epilogue and reluctant goodbye to Malcolm and Rachel's story.

Without thinking it even possible, Katy Evans manages to ruin me even further for all other fictional men by proving Malcolm is even more perfect than I previously thought. There's isn't anything he wouldn't to make Rachel happy and I'll easily admit to hating on her immensely a smidge because of it.

Luckily the blow is soften by what I hope will be Tahoe and Gina's story next and I'm really looking forward to it. Based on the interactions they've already had, Tahoe really has his work cut out for him.

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Rare Form by Jen Crane

Rare Form by Jen Crane

Publication date: October 6th 2015
Genres: New Adult, Paranormal, Romance

A Secret Past

Fiery redhead Stella Stonewall can’t decide between a margarita and a manhattan. The rest of her life? Please. Stella has never really fit in, and her pretty world comes crashing down when she learns it was never her world at all.

Rowan Gresham is domineering, brooding, and as sexy as chocolate-dipped sin. When he transports Stella to the magical realm of her parents she recognizes her rightful place immediately. Gresham’s motivations are less clear.

A Scorching Chemistry

The enigmatic Gresham aids in Stella’s metamorphosis and their chemistry ignites, though a long-time girlfriend and a significant age difference stand in the way.

A Battle for the Rest of Her Life

Stella’s life fast-tracks to extraordinary when she enrolls at Radix Citadel for Supernatural Learning, an enchanted college whose students turn furry on the regular. As Stella learns to navigate the magical new world of Thayer she must also find her animal form, a task as elusive as her ancestry. Stella soon faces an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn to manipulate an animal form she never knew she possessed.

Stella attends Thayer’s annual Solsticefest, where a new friend’s band is playing.

“Hmm?” he leaned in to me in order to hear. God, he smelled so good—masculine and woodsy, and faintly of citrus. I leaned in closer and inhaled and the impulse struck me without warning. One minute I thought I’d like to lick his lips as if he’d dipped them in the whipped cream on a cappuccino, and the next minute…I was doing it. I leaned up onto my knees for a better angle, ran one hand behind his back, and the other into the thick hair at the back of his head. I lazily fulfilled my little fantasy before kissing him solidly on the mouth.

I can now admit that I may have been a little drunk from two pints of pear mead. Okay, I was a lot drunk from three pints of pear mead. Whatever. Solstice Fest.

He was so stunned at my actions that he did nothing.

Finally—finally!—he reciprocated. With a growl, he ran a thick arm around my middle and threw me onto my back. He braced himself over me, his breaths shuddering in and out as dark hair fell in fat, messy coils around his face. The look in his eyes was so savage that I had a terrifying little moment to decide whether to scream and scramble from his cage, or to throw myself at his beast. I chose the latter. He kissed me like a drowning man seizing the last precious gulps of air. Fuzzy as my brain had become I was cognizant enough to think, “Now this is passion,” just before I couldn’t think at all.

I was brought back to my senses by the very loud, very insistent throat clearing of one Timbra Redfern. Breaking free took effort, though he still held his body above mine, only our lips touching. He slowly leaned up, allowing me to sit upright on my elbows, the maximum physical effort I was willing to put forth at that particular moment.
“You’re going to want to see this,” Timbra assured me, shooting for disapproval but failing as she grinned.

“See wha…” I began, but trailed off when I caught the focus of her attention. Dressed in a burgundy corset with leather trim and brass grommets, a micro mini and fishnets with strategically-placed snags, Layla was a steampunk wet dream. Her bone corset cinched at the back with laces, and around her neck and bust with leather belts. Vintage Victorian boots rose to her knees.

But all of the careful planning of her wardrobe was grossly overshadowed by the event taking place at that moment, because live on stage Layla was changing into her animal form. As she sang the final note of a particularly haunting number, the band’s leather and clockwork-modded instruments straining to compete with the raw power of Layla’s voice, she exploded into her crow from the vivid tattoo at her chest.

The crowd gasped as Layla erupted into flight across the amphitheater, her grommeted accoutrements thudding to the floor.
