My Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Seven Years was really good read. I had a blast reading this fast paced, exceptionally sexy mix of urban fantasy with second chance romance story. It definitely was a winner for me! Dannika Dark surprised me with enaging start to incredible series. I think it made me fall in love with urban fantasy all over again.

image

Story follows twenty-seven year old Lexi Knight. She’s your normal, average woman. She works in candy shop, have a douchbag ex boyfriend and dead brother, that was everything to her. When he died in tragic accident few years ago, her life slowly fell apart. Not only did she lost her brother but also his best friend, Austin, she loved from the age of five. Austin run away after the funeral and didn’t come back to visit in seven years.

So when she sees him after all this years, her stupid heart can’t stop beating faster. Austin has a lot to explain to her, and when he finally tells her the truth, it’s not exactly what she thought it would be. Well, she definitely didn’t expect him to tell her his a shifter.

image

I adored Austin. He was wonderful love interest and a fantastic mix of rugh alpha male, with sweet, gentle, loveable man. Not normal controlling and demanding douche, but the swoon worthy, girlie parts tingling version of alpha. Perfect. And the tattoos, bad boy vibe, being a shifter was a totall turn on. And he is dirty talker. Swoon!

Lexi and Austin relationship was fifty shades of hot! There is nothing better than reading a scene that doesn’t exactly involve sex, but sensual foreplay that leaves you all fucked over. Sometimes, I have more fun reading ‘not sex’ scenes like that. And in Seven Years, Dannika Dark, created some really steamy, off-the-charts hot erotic snippets, that left me begging for more. So freaking arousing!

image

"When I stepped back, I plucked one of the candies from the cluster and ripped away the wrapper with my teeth. Immediately, I sucked on it and then held out my tongue, spinning the candy in circles.

Austin’s eyes were following every movement as he watched the whole affair. His lips parted as he eyed my mouth. “Keep doing that,” he said in a hoarse whisper.
Then he shocked the hell out of me when he leaned down and licked the other side. I felt his tongue slide against mine and I froze. Then he did it again, only this time more slowly until he pulled the candy away and began sucking on my candy-coated tongue as he cupped my face in his warm hands.
The tingles were roaring.

Suckers fell to the floor with a whack! My right leg wrapped around his waist as he lifted me up by my thighs.

The kiss was deep, wet, and salacious. My chin burned from how rough he was with his whiskers as we angled our heads to the left, then the right, and nibbled each other’s lips while discovering our groove. That comfortable groove you get into once you learn someone through their kiss—their moves, their rhythm, the intensity of how they use their tongue, even where on your mouth they linger during the kiss. Upper lip, lower lip, left side kisser, or all over the place."

image

This scene will be literally burned in my mind forever. I’m still tingling, while thinking about it.

Overall, Seven Years is enticing, sexy and beautifully written story. I adored almost every aspect of this book, because it’s fast paced, realistic and so, so hot!. This intense and evocative romance is awsome read for every fan of alpha wolves, second chance romance stories and steam junkies.

In this life, it pays to be waterproof.

Disclaimer: Waterproof is a new adult dystopian with sex, violence, and language that may not be suitable for a younger audience.

Teaser

Vivienne yelled out and I whipped my head around to see what happened. The last man standing held an impressive hunting knife in his hand, while Vivienne had a fresh cut on her arm. Still, she held steady, sword gripped tightly in front of her, legs in a fighting stance.

Something stirred inside of me at the sight. Time slowed when I watched her wield the sword like an ancient warrior. It was hard to imagine that just a few years ago we were in high school worrying about football games and which party to go to on the weekend. Now we stayed in abandoned houses, scrounged for water, and spent most of our lives running. If things had been different, Vivienne and I would be graduating college this year. I had plans to go into medicine, and she wanted to be a vet. Funny how those dreams seemed so far away now.

A loud thump echoed through the now darkened night. She almost fell to the ground with the amount of momentum needed to decapitate the man. He dropped to his knees like a sinner begging for mercy, head rolling further down the hill. My stomach fluttered with admiration and annoyance.

“I didn’t need your help,” I said to her, getting up on my feet and trying not to wince at my injuries.

“Sure,” she huffed. Ripping her bandana off her face she tore it in two. “Here, wrap that up.” She nodded toward the tear in my sleeve and I stubbornly yanked the cloth out of her hand.

“I had everything under control,” I said between clenched teeth. It was the only way to mask the pain. “How did you know where to find me?”

“I followed the girly shrieks,” she said without missing a beat. I looked down at her in time to see a smirk pull at the corner of her mouth. “Let me do it.”

Once again, I allowed Vivienne to rescue me. It killed every part of that male ego inside, but I knew she’d let me do the same for her. In fact, I had. We always saved each other.

“Ow,” I said when she tightened the bandana a little too rough around my arm.

“Stop being a baby.”

“Stop showing off your man strength.”

She pulled even tighter but let a small laugh escape. I sucked in a breath at that sound, realizing how close I’d come to never hearing it again.

“Are you hurt anywhere else?” she asked, turning me around and patting her hands along my body. I froze, trying to ignore how comforting her touch felt. We’d been friends for years, and she was the only person in this world I trusted. Why had I risked so much for this run?

I stepped away from her, not liking where my thoughts were headed. “I’m fine,” I mumbled. “Stop mothering me.”

“I wouldn’t have to if you’d listen to me.” She stopped in front of my face and stared me down. I stood a little over six feet tall and she was just a few inches shorter. Together with that glare, almost any man would cower under her. “Was it worth it?”

“Huh?”

“The water. How much did you get?”

I hung my head in embarrassment. “I had eight, but they shot through one. So six, I guess.”

“Six bottles?” She looked impressed.

“No, six liters.” Silence.

“You just made me kill three men for six liters of water?”

I shuffled my feet. “You only killed two.”

She reached out so quickly, I couldn’t defend myself. Both hands pushed against my chest and I stumbled back, falling to the ground.

“I could make it three,” she hissed. “I should kill you for your stupidity alone.”

Review: Isn't She Lovely by Lauren Layne

About The Book:

17883712Title: Isn't She Lovely
Author: Lauren Layne
Release Date: 28th October

The rules are clear—until they’re broken. Lauren Layne puts a New Adult spin on Pygmalion, also the inspiration for Pretty Woman, and gives the classic love story its edgiest twist yet.

“Who knew that pretending you’re not falling for someone would be so much more difficult than pretending that you are?”

Stephanie Kendrick gave up her whole summer to ace her NYU film school screenwriting course, so she’s pissed to be stuck with a preppy, spoiled frat boy as her writing partner. Then again, with her piercings, black-rimmed eyes, and Goth wardrobe, Stephanie isn’t exactly Ethan Price’s type, either. He’s probably got his eye on some leggy blonde with a trust fund . . . or does he?

As the summer scene kicks off in the Hamptons, Ethan is desperate to make his snobbish mother forget the pedigreed girl who broke his heart. While Stephanie’s a stretch as a decoy, the right makeover and a pastel cardigan just might do the trick. She may not love the idea of playing Ethan’s brainless Barbie girlfriend, but the free rent and luxurious digs make a tempting offer. So does the promise of a ready-made screenplay idea inspired by their charade.

But when Stephanie steps into Ethan’s privileged world, the “acting” begins to feel all too real. The kissing and touching that were intended to fool the Hamptons crowd wind up manipulating them. And Stephanie faces a question she’s too afraid to ask: Is Ethan falling for the real her or for the dolled-up princess he wants to see?

My Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Isn’t She Lovely is incredibly witty, full of great sense of humor, heart melting love story that can easily sweep every fan of romantic comedy of their feet! I quickly fell in love with Lauren Layne’s spectacular way of telling the story and the quirky plot that is a wonderful mix of Pretty Woman with Pygmalion . It made me swoon, smile and laugh out loud.

Stephanie is junior at NYU where she studies film. Coming back to home for summer was not an option for her and to prevent it, Stephanie signed up for summer class.

Stephanie is incredibly artsy, snarky lover of black eye liner and goth accesories. After what happened in her hometown, three years ago, she hides herself behind black clothes, combat boots and dark attitude. Being snarky, witty and totally untouchable goth girl doesn’t send positive vibes to strangers, which is good enough for her. Her defenses are very high and it’s incredibly hard to see the real, fragile girl, Stephanie once was.

And there is Ethan, typical golden boy and the exact opposite of antisocial Stephanie. He’s rich, handsome as well as smart and cannot do anything wrong. But when life kicked him on his ass, when his long time girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend, Ethan needs a change of scenery.

This unique couple met for the first time in summer class and when Stephanie agreed to be Ethan’s fake girlfriend, Isn’t She Lovely kicked with hilarious scenes, explosive chemistry and extremely interesting plot that kept me on my toes, made me laugh and swoon multiply times. And when real feelings started to snake between Stephanie and Ethan everything got even more complicated than it looked like.

I adored how refreshing and funny Layne’s characters were. They quickly won me over with realistic behavior, swoon worthy moments and the phenomenal sexual chemistry they shared. And don’t get me started on how much I loved this two together! They could win a contest on the best couple in New Adult genre. I immensely enjoyed reading about Stephanie and Ethan, because of the amazing love story that hooked me. Isn't She Lovely is fantastic novel that will leave your heart swollen and extremaly satisfied. This book will leave you with a wicked, fuzzy emotions all over your body.'

Isn't She Lovely is pure fun and ideal read for those who enjoy reading funny and sweet new adult novels with HEA.

17878717Title: Eternally North

Release Date: 6th May

Natasha Munro is your typical twenty eight year old girl, well your typical twenty eight year old English loud 'n' proud Geordie; curvy, fun and a whole load of fab-u-lous. Her life is all going to plan – good job, great friends, close family and a loving boyfriend – until an unexpected event stands everything on its head.

Nursing a broken heart and decked head-to-toe in tasselled chaps and rhinestones, Natasha and her flamboyant fairy of a gay best friend, Tink, uproot from their North-Eastern nest, throw caution to the wind and embark on a new life together in Canada. Canada – Land of the Rocky Mountains, maple syrup; oh, and an 'in-between movies' Hollywood mega-star.

Enter infamous bad-boy of the big screen, Tudor North – Tudor 'bloody' North! Tudor is towering, brooding and gorgeous, and he is harbouring a deep secret. His outward demeanour is cold and intimidating, and with it he successfully keeps everyone at arm's length; that is everyone except a certain Ms. Munro.
It soon becomes clear; what with her smart mouth and lusciously ample arse, that Natasha proves more than a match for our emotionally-distant mega-star.

Will Natasha settle into her new life in Canada? Will she ever find her fairytale happy ending? Can a movie star and an ordinary girl from England ever really make it work? Or will the secrets lurking in Tudor`s past scupper their chance of happiness?

Eternally North is addictive, funny and heart-warming; a fast paced comedic journey of self-discovery; an unyielding friendship and, of course, it would not be complete without a generous sprinkling of good old-fashioned British 'slap-and-tickle'.

WARNING: contains a foul-mouthed voluptuous Brit; a self-confessed and self-promoted Friggin' Fantastic Fairy; and an abundance of tattoo-smothered muscles nicely wrapped up in one gorgeous bad-boy package.

My Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Every once in awhile I feel the need to read something that will take me on a hilarious, romantic journey, that will leave me immensely satisfied, relaxed and dizzy with fuzy, warm emotions. This is the second time Tillie Cole took me on a ride like this, and I suppose it won’t be the last.

I feel entirely addicted to her amazing storytelling, wonderful, likeable characters and great sense of humor. And I definitely will be reading more of her crazy, sweet and out of the charts romance novels.

image

The story follows twenty eight years old British teacher, Natasha Munro. When she caught her boyfriend cheating on her, she decided to get drunk with her bestie Tink, which led them to randomly picking new place to live across the globe.

‘Let's get this straight. Yesterday you were living your life as normal, yes?' I nodded. He continued. 'Then you go home and find your boyfriend with another woman, break up with him, go to Tink's, get blindgly drunk and decide to move to Calgary, Canada?'
'Erm, in a nutshell, y-yes.'

So, Tasha and her glittery gay best friend Tink, or as they call themself ‘oink fairies’ move to Calgary, to start a new, exciting life.

When they met Tudor North, a fine specimen of Hollywood actor and his best friend Tate, they didn’t think their lives will turn upside down, like this, but it kind of did.

Throw to the mix hilarious scences, steamy attraction a lots of secrets, and voila! You get Enternally North in deliciously sweet and spicy package.

~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~

Enternally North is fast paced, entincing read, that made me laugh out loud more times, that I could count. I had a blast reading this outstanding, goofy story. You had to read it yourself to fully appriciate, how talented Tillie Cole is and understand how good job she did at creating fantastic romance comedy.

image

After only a few pages, I felt instant connection the main heroine. This curvy beauty rocked this book! There was no way I wouldn’t like her bubbly, wild personality and crazy antincs. Tasha immediately caught my attention and made me like her very much. She was over the top, mad woman, that totally took me by surprise with her honesty and banters. I loved that crazy chick! When she’s paired with her soul mate, gilittery fairy, Tink, I could only laugh and shake my head. I couldn’t help but love those two.

image

I also fell in love with big, musculed Hollywood actor - Tudor North. This broody, reclusive man, that changed into such a softie near Tasha made me swoon! His way of words with her…. I looved how he took care of her. Together they were the craziest, the loveliest couple in the whole world. I wanted to lick them both.

"Cause of death: Tudor overdose."

image

Aww, this story made me swoon so many times! I really hoped it could remain this way to the end, but there was something that started to really pissed me off toward the end. I was quite frustrated with it and unfortunately it made me give this story one star less. But don’t worry! This story is still pretty kickass and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

My Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love you, Today, because you give me peace, you give me a sense of who I am meant to be, because you proved that not every word is a broken promise. And I love you, Tomorrow, because you are limitless, because every thought, every hope I have right now is reflected in you. I can't say I love you too much because my heart is an all-consuming, constantly replenished source of potential. It is full, bursting with hope, with serenity.

image

I really enjoyed reading Chasing Serenity. It was the first book by Eden Butler I’ve read and it certainly won’t be the last. This incredibly funny and wonderful story got me hooked from the beginning and didn’t let me go even for a second. I was instantly drawn to this dynamic, sensual and intense novel about love, courage and never giving up.

image

Autumn McShane never had an easy life. Her past is full of painful memories and lost dreams. When she was only 14 year old her father left her and her mother to fend for themselves. After that her childhood never was the same. Then, eight years later, Autumn lost her mother in terrible car accident, that nearly took her life too. Now, she’s no one else, but her four crazy friends, that love her like family. Add to the mix crazy, possesive ex-bofriend, that seems to not getting that they over, Autumn has a lot on her mind. So, when she gets ‘molested’ by a drunk rugby player with amazing bod and sexy tattoos, her life could have turned more upside down.

Now, she has a lot of things to deal with: finally make her ex understand she’s not the same girl anymore, stop feeling lusting after Declan, win a run, and make amends with her father. That’s a lot to take in.

Declan Fraser is Irish univeristy rugby player with more than few problems. One of them is sexy, red haired beauty with freckles that makes him lose his mind. The other is the fact he lost his mather at early age and had to move across the world, to live in the small town of Cavanaugh.

image

I immensely adored how Butler created her story. From the complex, interesting characters to the phenomenal writing style, author caputred my attention, and easily made me fall in love with her.

I really, really liked the plot. It was full of twist and turns, never predictable and hot as hell! Mixed with fantastic characters, that not only were likeable (with exception of Tucker and Heather) but realistic, sincere and extremely interesting, Chasing Serenity was a winner for me!

image

Declan is amazing hero. His irish brogue, cocky attitude and outstanding passion for rugby made me hot and bothered! Declan is totally unique and wonderful character that needs a standing ovation.

Autumn is fantastic, strong woman, that is very likeable. I instantly connected with her, and kept crossing my fingers, she will get her own HEA.

Overall, Chasing Serenity is a compelling story, that is worth your time. Incredible page turner that left me completely satisfied, relaxed and begging for more.

Review: Wild Hyacinthe by Nola Sarina, Emily Faith

But the deeper Asher and Aria fall in love, the harder he must fight the incubus in his soul, demanding her life.

My Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nola Sarina and Emily Faith created enticing and deliciously dark novel filled with dangerous romance and angst that will get any fan of romance with paranormal twist hooked from the beginning. Wild Hyacinthe is not only erotic and extremely sensual story, but very lethal with a hint of wildness and something alluring.

description

The story begins when Asher is eating his lover’s soul. He’s incubus – a monster that feed of sexual energy, killing in the process. Every time Asher have sex, his partner dies. This is 43 woman who died because of him and the monster that is inside of him. This young, handsome and rich man is sentenced to life with overwhelming guilt and need to fuck to death. He tried everything he could to stop the beast from taking lives, but there’s nothing he can do to stop the urge to have sex. The only person he can be honest with is his twin sister, Gypsy, that helps him, cover his crimes.

When he meet’s Aria, blue haired, rebel girl leaving in her car, he wants her beneath him, he feels the need to be buried inside her, and take her life. But somewhere along meeting her and befriending her, Asher starts to fight his demon from taking the reins. For the first time in years, Asher is falling for someone and there is no way he could kill Aria. Even when she begs him to have sex with her.

A story about overwhelming guilt, attraction, devouring passion and the need to find happiness, even when everythings show it’s impossible.

description

I adored how paranormal twist worked in the Wild Hyacinthe. It made this book a hell lot of more interesting and unique. For the first time, incubus is pictured not like a man whore wrapped in sexy package, but normal man with obsessive guilt on his shoulders.
Some things were quite predictable, and I guessed how it’ll end, almost at the beginning of the story, which made it less stellar in my eyes.

As much as I liked Aria and Asher, I was a little bored with the insta attraction that quickly led to another case of insta love. I think, this novel would be amazing if the authors gave us more time to see Aria and Asher as friends first and the slowly change their relationship.

I hated Gypsy. She wasn’t likeable character and her constant mean comments, made me want to throw up. As much as Asher was monster, he still felt guilty and bad about what he’s doing, while Gypsy, didn’t give a fuck, about dead women.

In nutshell, I really enjoyed reading Wild Hyacinthe, despite few issues I had with it, it’s one of this novels that easily hooked me.

And that’s because of one life changing event that has altered her life forever.

Los Angeles is not how Ava left it. Things have changed. People have changed. She has changed. But what has remained untouched is her passionate love for Jasper White.

But does Jasper feel the same?

My Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Story of Ava and Jasper captivated me from the beginning. Incredibly sexy, romantic and passionate, I Surrender, first installment in Monica James’ Trilogy was fantastic read, and I sincerely couldn’t wait to get more of it. So imagine my giddiness when I finally dove into Surrender To Me. Full of hope, guesses and through constant fan girling I locked myself in my room and started to dream, er… read about me and Jasper Ava and Jasper.

Yet, my anticipation didn’t get me totally ready for this roller coaster of crazy feelings, Monica James has driven me into. I was speechless, I was angry, I swooned, I was turn on, and yet again I was pissed off. There wasn’t a moment I didn’t feel or think anything. Surrender to Me swallowed me whole.

Six months have passed since Ava took off to Singapore. Things have dramatically changed as well as she. The Ava I met in I Surrender vanished. Now she’s heartbroken and vunarable. She’s still in love with the man that rocked her world and then… nothing was ever the same again.

Now, she’s coming back to Los Angeles for Veronica’s wedding. Happy for her friend and scared for what the future will bring for her, Ava is nervous. Fear of seeing Jasper again is a constant reminder of what she lost and stabs her heart every time sexy POE singer is near her.

Can they work on their issues to celebrate their best friends wedding? Can they let go of pain, hate and love for each other?

image

I love, love Jasper. He’s the man of my heart. Surrender To Me was his show. He rocked it! Amazing man. Sigh. I fell for him even harder this time. The things he’s said…. I’m still shivering when I think of them.

“You’ve ruined me for anyone else, so you’re stuck with me.” ~ Jasper

“You run away from me again, and I promise you, I will find you. I will chase you down and I won’t stop until you’re mine.” ~ Jasper

image

But as much as I adored him, my fondness of Ava ended. She really pissed me off so many times with her childish behavior, I thought I couldn’t handle her more. She was so frustraiting. I really hope she will pick up her big girl panties and use her brain few times more. Her naivety and recklessness rubbed me the wrong way.

image

Besides that, I enjoyed reading Surrender To Me. It was nice follow up to first installment of I Surrender Trilogy. Sensual, passionate and full of swoon worthy moments read that definitely was worth my time.

“I want you, Ava. Just you. Please trust me.” ~ Jasper

Review: Bold Tricks by Karina Halle

About The Book:

17284874Title: Bold Tricks (The Artist Trilogy #3)
Author: Karina Halle
Release Date: 15th October

With more lives at stake and games in motion, Ellie, Camden and Javier form an uneasy alliance that will take them from the treacherous streets of inner-city Mexico to the wilds of the Honduran jungles in order to find their freedom. But with liberty just on the horizon, the cost might come at their own redemption.

My Thoughts:

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

*Contains minor spoilers of previous books *

image

After reading breath taking, emotional roller coaster, that Halle released in the beginning of the year, I fell in love with her writing and entincing storytelling. Her stories are simply wonderful mix of suspense and romance, but as much as I adored Sins & Needles and loved Ellie and Camden in the first installemnt of The Artist Trilogy, Shooting Scars was only good, Bold Tricks just… okay.

Somewhere along I started to lose my love for Ellie. From time to time I couldn’t handle her foolishness and jumping from Camden to Javier… made me sick. My hate for love triangles and undecided girls reared it’s ugly head. Silly Ellie started to piss me off. In Shooting Scars her actions stabbed me in the heart and killed my fascination and adoration toward her. I ached for Camden so much then. My heart broke for him more times that I could count.

image

I have no idea how to describe my feelings and review Bold Trick without giving away spoilers. It’s impossible task.

I think, somewhere deep down I knew that no matter what will happen in Bold Tricks, I won’t be satisfied. My love for Ellie and this series went away when she fucked Javier in Shooting Scars. So this ship was long gone. Despite that I had to know how it’ll end. I desperately needed Camden to have his HEA. He deserved it.

Unoftunately, my love for Camden wasn’t enough to swallow bitter taste I felt toward Ellie. I just can’t take anymore love triangles and cheating. It’s such a turn off for me!

I closed my eyes on this aspect in Shooting Scars. I really did. It pissed me off immensely, but I tried to rationalize with myslef, but in Bold Tricks, when I saw how Ellie acted toward Camden, I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Camden as always melted my heart, mixed with strong fast paced and action packed plot as well as dangerous events, it was enough to not get me bored. Halle blew my mind with amazing, steamy sex scenes and great dose of dirty talking. Like always Halle threw some great jokes and fantastic sense of humor. Few times I stopped to read some sentences again. They were hidden little gems of brillaince that I cherished.

image

Overall, Bold Tricks is a great conclusion to the series. Every aspect was nicely closed and every question was answered. Why only three star rating then? The story lost me somewhere in Shooting Scars, because of Ellie’s behavior. There was literally nothing that could’ve been done to redeem her in my eyes.

Review: Jet by Jay Crownover

About The Book:

17204860Title: Jet (Marked Men #2)
Author: Jay Crownover
Release Date: 28th May

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

My Thoughts:

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

”Are you in love with me, Ayd?
I’m in love with us, Jet.”

Sexy, pleasureable, full of angst and great between the sheets action, Jet is a well thought sequel in Marked Man Series. I was hooked from the beginning and really enjoyed reading about troubled characaters, that only Jay Crownover can so easily picture.

image

There is nothing better and sexier than reading a novel about ripped, tattoed and pierced bad boy rocker, that can so effortlessly make your panties drop.

“Jet Keller was all kinds of temptation wrapped up in too-tight pants and with too many personal demons hidden in those dark, golden-rimmed eyes. He was every girl’s rock-and-roll fantasy, with an edge that made him just sharp enough to be hard to handle. And boy, oh boy, did I want to handle him in every way possible.” ~Ayden

Boom! and they’re gone.

Jet Keller is wet dream came true, and there is only one kind of thoughts that are crossing ladies minds when they are near him.

“But still, the sight of those abs, the ink that covered them and the twin hoops through his nipples turned all my good intentions and strictly marshaled thoughts to all things sexy and naughty, where they clearly didn’t need to be.” ~Ayden

But he is also trouble, big, bad trouble that Ayden can’t be in. The attraction she feels toward Jet is dangerous and she can’t act on her lustful thoughts. No matter how hard that will be, right?

image

Please, don't get me started on the sex parts because they were so, so hot, I melted... . I devoured every sexy snippet and drooled over Jet tats.

image

Overall, this book rocked! Well, just as I thought it would. Jet is fantastic rock star romance. Great, complex plot and phenomenal characters made reading Jay Crownover’s novel sweet experience add to the mix smokin’ hot, full of sparks, sexual tension sex and I was sold.. I am dying to get more of Crownover’s flawless, yummy style of writing as well as another mesmerazing and interesting plot. My rock star addiction got a big, nice drag from this book .

Early Review: Beautiful Rose by Missy Johnson

About The Book:

18072198Title: Beautiful Rose
Author: Missy Johnson
Release Date: 24th October

Jack Falcon is a new man. Three years after he left his life behind in London, Jack finally feels settled. He’s surrounded with everything that is important to him; a great relationship with his brother, Alex, a bar he is about to re-open, and most importantly, he has control of his life and his dreams. He knows he can’t undo the wrongs of his past, but he sure as hell can determine his future. He has worked hard to move forward and nothing is going to undo that.

Until he meets Rose.
Rose Wilson has never felt normal. Since she was a child, Rose has felt nothing but the overwhelming desire to end her life and she has no idea why. We live to die, so what’s the point in living? Rose has pushed the limits in the past, and pushed people away. She can’t figure out why Jack and Alex are so insistent on helping her. Twelve years of therapy has failed to help her, so why should they be any different?
Jack sees just how beautiful and important Rose is, but convincing her of that means putting his heart on the line, something he isn’t sure he can do. He can’t deny his feeling for Rose, but that doesn’t mean he has to act on them. And Jack isn’t the only one developing feelings for Rose.

Before Rose, Jack vowed he would never let himself fall in love again.

Before Rose, he had control.

But sometimes, it’s losing control that makes you really see what’s really important in your life.

*Before reading Beautiful Rose read Seduce, prequel. *

My Thoughts:

3.5 stars

contains minor spoilers of Seduce (Beautiful Rose Prequel)

Beautiful Rose is a continuation of Jack Falcon’s story. Story that few months ago blew my mind and totally mesmerized me with unique plot as well as unbelievable ending, that broke my heart into tiny little pieces. Still, I loved Seduce very much and it become one of my favorite reads this summer.

JACK & ROSE

image

Now, in Beautiful Rose, Jack is trying to put his life back together. After tragic ending of his relationship with Belle, Jack is only a shell of a man he once was. The cocky playboy with great sense of humor vanished. There still are some parts of his old self, but they aren’t as brilliant or hilarious they once were. I missed that. Very much.

Honestly, I think it was what made him so unique and funny character. And as much as I understand why he changed and ‘grew up’, I missed his creative inner dialogues that cracked me up. From time to time, Jack threw a little ‘gem’ and I was grinning like an idiot. How bad it didn’t happen more often.

Anyway, back to the plot, three years has passed and Jack lives in USA with his brother Alex (I have incredibly big crush on him, by the way). He even bought a bar. So despite the fact that things are looking good, it’s only on the outside. Inside he still feels guilty and thinks about Belle every day.

Because of his brother, Jack meets Rose in mental hospital, where Alex works. She desperately needs a job, so he gives it to her. He instantly feels some kind of attraction toward her. But Rose has a lot of issues and when they are mixed with Jack’s it only calls for a pretty big disaster.

image

Together they have to sort their shit out and finally be able to give themselves a chance in love, life and forgiveness.

You’re who I think of when I close my eyes,
It’s only you I see
You’re the light in my otherwise dark world,
It’s with you I want to be.

image

Beautiful Rose is a novel about second chances. It’s a story about redeeming yourself and finally being able to spread your wings and fly, without looking behind.

I enjoyed reading Beautiful Rose, but sadly it’s not Seduce. There was something lacking, something that made me devour Jack’s romance with Belle, but wasn’t in Beautiful Rose.

While, twenty five year old Jack is a playboy and hilarious firecracker, twenty eight Jack is tortured hero, that I’ve had enough of. As I mentioned earlier, I missed my sexy, cocky man whore… I also was surprised by only mild steam level. Previously, Jack’s encounters were filled with great, hot sex and funny thoughts about it. Here? Not so much.

Overall, I was disappointed by insta love feeling that was going on between Jack and Rose. But despite this I really liked romance between them. It was intense, filled with angst and suspenful. I also had a blast while meeting Jack’s new friends and his brother, Alex.
