The author of I See London sets her sights on Washington, D. C., with a sexy new series about three sisters, the secrets they keep, and a powerful blog with a knack for exposing scandals...

Now that she's landed an internship with a powerful political consulting firm, she's determined to launch her career and take this city by storm.

William Andrew Clayton was born for politics. He knows the drill: work hard, play discreetly, and at all costs, avoid scandal. At twenty-six, his campaign for the Virginia State Senate is the first step to cementing his future. It's time for him to settle down, to find the perfect political spouse. He needs a Jackie Kennedy, not a Marilyn...

When Jackie meets Will in the bar of the Hay-Adams Hotel, sparks fly. But the last thing Will needs is to be caught in a compromising position, and an affair with a political candidate could cost Jackie her career. When what began as one steamy night, becomes a passion neither one of them can walk way from, they must decide if what they have is really love, or just another dirty little secret...

Politics is in no danger of being my Question Time specialised subject of choice and because of this I almost missed out on reading what is now one of my favourite books this year. Flirting with Scandal was a fun, sexy, emotionally engaging read and definitely has my vote.

Jacqueline Gardner is a twenty one year old college student with political aspirations . Scandal is something she is well versed in being the illegitimate daughter of of a powerful senator. With her sights set on a job at a prestigious firm after her internship, she is no position to shed any light on the secret she's kept buried all these years.

William Clayton is a refreshing change from the scandalous politicians Jackie usually digs up dirt on. He is the rising star on the political scene with a bright future a head of him. About to embark on his election campaign he needs to keep his focus, eye on the prize and stay away from anything that may smear his campaign.

She looked like trouble— the kind you couldn’t wait to get into.

From the moment they meet it's sparks and witty back and forth banter, and this little naysayer was hooked! Will and Jackie are fantastic characters, as opposite as they are in character they compliment each other's strengths and weakness and force each other to acknowledge parts of themselves they never knew or wanted to acknowledge existed.

“I want you to be scared. I want things to be messy, and complicated, and difficult. I want you to feel, and I want you to know I’m the one making you feel, that I’m the one making it mean something.”

Chanel Cleeton converted me with this one and i'll be absolutely sure to keep my beady eyes open for the rest of the books in this series. From the pacing to steam and character development, it was a winning combination. The only downside was a minor one when it came to the outing of them as a couple. Nonetheless, if real life politics is as riveting as this, I may well pay more attention.

Originally a Florida girl, CHANEL CLEETON moved to London where she received a bachelor’s degree from Richmond, The American International University in London and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Chanel fell in love with London and planned to stay there forever, until fate intervened on a Caribbean cruise and a fighter pilot with smooth dance moves swept her off her feet. Now, a happily ever after later, Chanel is living her next adventure.

Law school made Chanel realize she’d rather spend her days writing sexy stories than in a courtroom, and she hasn’t looked back since. An avid reader and hopeless romantic, she’s happiest curled up with a book. She has a weakness for handbags, her three pups, and her husband.

Chanel writes contemporary romances. She is published by Harlequin HQN, Penguin/InterMix, and Penguin/Berkley and is the author of the International School, Capital Confessions, and Wild Aces series.
