If you play with fire…
Tossed out of college and cut off by her parents, Samantha West is in pretty dire straits. So when her rocker best friend hooks her up with a job dancing at a gentlemen’s club, who is she to turn it down? Plus, there are rules to dancing at Benny’s: No touching, keep your clothes on at all times, and never get closer than three feet. Unfortunately for Sam, her first private client makes her want to break every single one of them.
Harrison Yates is scorching hot, but he’s got a past that involves being left at the altar not too long ago. Sam is determined to make him forget about his ex, but when she makes her move, it flings her life into a spiral of chaos she never saw coming.
Because Harrison Yates isn’t who he seems to be. And his secret will probably get her killed.

Lisa Desrochers delivered another exciting, thrilling and incredibly sexy novel that kept me on my toes to the last page. A Little Too Hot is intense, passionate and unbelievably HOT, yet as much as I did enjoy it, it was certainly not my favorite book in a A Little Too Far series. Still, it’s definitely worth stellar recommendations!
This story is about Samantha, Lexi former best friend and the girl that was head over heels in love with Trent. After her heart was horribly destroyed by the closest people she ever had, Sam started to have serious problems with her bad girl attitude and constant partying. When her mother reached her hard limit she threw her out of the house, which left poor Sam without a place to sleep, money and… family. The only person she could count on was her friend, who helped her in finding job in a night club, where she became a dancer. Not exactly a stripper, as she didn’t take of her clothes, but she definitely danced for a horde of horny man, that looked at her dirty moves in skimpy outfit and fuck me pumps.
On her first dance, she locked eyes with intense, sexy and drool worthy man, that made her heart beat faster and her sexy moves even sexier. In that moment, Sam knew she was in trouble and after doing few private dances for him, as Harrison was more than fond of her too, Sam decided to do something against the club rules – she let Harrison touch her.
After about twenty percent into the story I started to worry, A Little Too Hot doesn’t have anything refreshing or new. I was skeptical when I learnt that Sam as a exotical dancer almost instantly fell in love/lust with one of the men that was watching her dancing. The man falling in love with a stripper wasn’t unique route, and not only was it a little bit nerve-wracking to see the plot going in that direction but started to get me bored easily too.
And then Lisa Desrochers amazed me by totally changing everything and I could let out a breath I have been holding in. My eyes almost literally fell out of my sockets when this, as I called in my head ‘Something Book Changing’ happened and from that point I was hooked. I was thrilled, excited, full of emotions and just so freaking satisfied with the story I wanted to purr. And I did, quite a lot.
I had to confess, Sam grabbed my attention with her ‘adventurous’ personality and the magnet for trouble that she truly was from the very first page. She made this book energetic, fast forward, full of surprises and quite funny. I have to say I loved her quirky attitude, and it’s one of the biggest advantages this book had . Of course, she had few not so bright moments and I was pissed at her then, but I couldn’t stop empathizing with her. She definitely was relatable character.
Harrison was very alpha, which I took as another benefit. I instantly fell in lust with his mysterious vibe that he had going on. And I was grinning like Cheshire Cat when I learnt what he was hiding. After the real action started, Harrison showed another delicious side of him and totally dug it.
A Little Too Hot was nicely done and well thought addition to Lisa Desrochers New Adult series. Everything was fast paced, exciting and very sexy. Maybe it’s not my favorite installment in A Little Too Far Series, as my heart is still with Alessandro and Hilary, but I really did enjoy this part of it.
