Deliciously dark and twisted Beneath the Burn is gritty and raw spectacular debut novel that will knock your socks off. Thrilling, captivating as well as definitely fucked up story of Jay and Charlee is somethig worth remembering. This exciting read is completely without borders and will change boring evening in magical sensation filed with smokin’ hot romance, scorching sex and dark suspense. In this novel dealing with demons of the past is different, because Charlee’s past can be still her future.

Charlee’s young broken woman who survived something hard to imagine. She was held captive by man, who dominated, raped and beat her every single day from the time she was sixteen. Now, at twenty two she’s hiding from him afraid of being kidnapped the second time.

“She narrowed all thoughts on building her armor. She’d created the mental barrier at sixteen, and over the two years that followed she thickened her skin with it, layer after layer, training her subconscious to unleash it.”

Working at tattoo parlour she meets Jay, sexy but damged rock star, who wants to find redemption in pain of needle. His back is covered in horrible scars which are his curse, but Charlee thinks differently.

“I love your scars. They inspire me.” She softened her voice. “I’ve never met another person who has experienced pain like—”

Their inspiring encounter changes their lifes and bounds two people who carry mental and physical scars forever.

“She wanted to learn more about him, wanted to nestle deep inside and unearth the man who seemed all too familiar with pain. Real pain.”

My heart bled alongside character’s hearts, which was addictive as well as intriguing. It welth power to keep me on my toes. Bravery of Charlee and Jay left me literally breathless. Sexy scenes are sensual and amazingly erotic and developed not quite as I thought they would be. Everything I love in books was delivered in unique and mesmerizing way that totally blown me a way.

My only issue with this book was unnecessary length. I had a feeling that some things were repeated and weren’t needed. That’s way I couldn’t give it 5 stars.

Beneath the Burn is enticing, absolutely harsh and beautifully written story about abuse and determination to life no matter what. I adored every aspect of this book, because it’s fast paced, realistic and heart wrenching. . It’s also intense, suspenseful, emotional, sensual and evocative read that slowly tears you apart.
