Not only that, but he’s the most recent addition to the orchestra. So now on a daily basis I have to resist one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever met and he plays the violin. For me that’s one hell of a deadly cocktail.
He wants me to teach him how to live. I’m not sure how much a twenty-six year old recovering alcoholic who works in a bar and moonlights as a living statue can teach a world class concert violinist, but I’m sure going to try.
Still Life with Strings is a story of music, art, sex, magical realism, and romance that you will never forget.
I really liked other Cosway’s book – Painted Faces, I thought it was a great read. But Still Life with Strings was perfection in every little detail. The story of Jade and Shane was amazing, sensual, moving, beautiful, bewitching…. I can go on and on. From start to finish I was mesmerized by the author’s fabulous storytelling.
I literally don’t know how to explain what this book did to me. I’m speechless. Have you ever loved something so much that finding words that would summarize simply didn’t exist in your vocabulary ? Writing a review when I’m still replaying in my head all those incredible scenes is almost painful. I want to scream out loud that I loved it and recommend it to all my friends, but if someone would ask me why? I think I could only it’s perfection, just try it.
This novel is incredibly bewitching, beautiful story that captivated my soul. In a matter of pages I feel in love with this breathtakingly stunning novel. I’m still under the charm of L.H Cosway’s wonderful writing and complex characters.
