Title: Summer’s Temptation
Series: Vandeveer University #1
Author: Ashley Lynn Willis
Release Date: July 7, 2014
Rating: 4.5 stars

If there are only three truths in life, they are these. Women will always try to change a man. Men will always say anything to get a girl in bed. Tyler Mason will always have a long line of girls trying to domesticate him, and none will succeed. If one of these ceases to be true, the world will cease to exist.

These are the rules as college student Cassie Faye knows them, so when she gives up on dating in favor of a man who can satisfy her without tempting her heart, her next-door neighbor Tyler tops the list. Tyler isn’t the type of boy Cassie would fall for, but he’s the perfect guy to teach her how to claim her sexual independence without losing her heart in the process. Too late, Cassie finds out that under his womanizing exterior is an attentive, considerate lover who brings out passions in her that she'd barely glimpsed before.

What if she’s wrong about the third truth? What if the world as she knows it is about to cease to exist?

WHY ARE BAD BOYS SO SEXY?

I picked up Summer’s Temptation out of pure curiosity. The blurb and the cover caught my attention and I just couldn’t say no to it. I love reading everything new adult; especially when it’s sexy, sweet and maybe a little bit fluffy read. I adore those stories and Summer’s Temptations was one of them! I had so much fun reading this steamy novel. I found it endearing, completely mesmerizing and oh! So sweet!!

This story focuses on Cassie. A twenty year college student at Vanderveer University; she just dumped her boyfriend after he cheated on her and broke her heart. Now after her grades dropped really low and her scholarship was almost out of the window, Cassie promised herself no more relationships, no more boy drama and getting her heart broken. It’s just not worth it. However, she misses sex and intimacy that came with having a boyfriend.

The lack of sex became Cassie’s nightmare. Even the vibrator she bought didn’t do the job. Yes, she could have some one night stands to quench the hunger, but she’s not slutty enough to go with it. Her best friend advices her to get a ‘fuck buddy’ but she can’t imagine herself not being emotionally involved with someone she sleeps with.

Tyler is Cassie’s neighbor; he’s sexy as sin man whore. He’s a guy, Cassie will never fall for. Why? Because he’s not her type at all. While he’s all dark and dangerous bad boy, she always was attracted to good guys with political aspirations. Tyler’s a free spirit, an artist and he want only sex.

“If you go into the relationship knowing it’s only about sex, you’ll be fine.”

Cassie’s sure he will be the right guy for bumping her uglies with without the fear of falling for him. But with every night that is passing and every wonderful kiss and orgasm, Cassie’s heart is more and more interested in Tyler.

This story is so cute! I was grinning from ear to ear all the time; the characters were so funny and heartwarming I wanted to hug them all.

I really liked almost everything in this book; from funny and witty storytelling, great sex scenes, amusing characters to enjoyable plot (of course some of you can be a little turn off with how predictable some things were).

My only issue was the ending. It was a little bit abrupt; I hoped this story is a standalone and the ‘series’ means that secondary characters will get their own book. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. On the first hand, I am really happy to know there will be more Tyler and Cassie. On the other, I am afraid the sequel will ruin my love for them. That’s why I hope and wish Autumn’s Fall will be as good as Summer’s Temptation and my love for Tyler and Cassie will be as strong then.

Overall, Summer’s Temptation is a story I will recommend to all of my sweet friends that like simple new adult stories full of sexy times, cute conversations and fluffy love.
